Our passion is to help organizations in our community answer this question in a personal and practical way. In addition to our recommended Book List, True Charity Network, and Wellness Resources from past events, Charity Reimagined hosts:

  • QUARTERLY Training Events where we come together in smaller groups to dig into specific topics that inform how we practice charity. See below for our upcoming schedule.


  • ANNUAL Training Event where we bring in a professional training to equip and learn alongside our helping agencies to do benevolence better.

6th Annual Charity Reimagined Training:


November 6, 8:00am - 3:00pm | $30 Fee (Covers Lunch & Conference)


Charity Reimagined will host its 6th annual training for community helpers on November 6 at North Idaho College. The event is designed to equip those serving individuals and families with practical tools, meaningful education and opportunities to connect with one another. Attendees will also qualify for six continuing education units.

 

Led by local professionals Tyson Durbin, mental health therapist, and Tiffany Renner, social work professor at Lewis Clark State College, the training will focus on self-efficacy and self-agency—helping people believe in their abilities and take greater ownership of their lives.

 

“When people begin to believe in themselves and what they are capable of, transformation occurs,” said Charity Reimagined board member Louisa Rogers. “Learning how to help cultivate that belief in our clients is an invaluable tool.”

 

The day will also address self-care and burnout among social-service professionals and volunteers. “We call them frontline warriors because they are,” said Maggie Lyons, Charity Reimagined’s executive director. “This training is our way of investing in the people who give so much of themselves to strengthen our community.”

Toxic Charity Book Club

As the foundational step in Charity Reimagined’s training series, it introduces the mission, values, and approach behind our model.

Beyond Volunteering Training

Have you wondered how volunteers—and those who lead them—can engage differently with clients? This training helps participants move beyond completing tasks to building meaningful relationships and showing up in ways that promote dignity, connection, and lasting change for everyone involved.

Touchpoint Transformation

Currently in development, this training helps organizations examine their existing giving practices and client touchpoints. Participants will consider whether there are more effective, relational, and dignified ways to support people seeking help through their agencies.

Community Resource Collaboration Training

No organization can do everything—but each can do something well. This training brings community partners together to strengthen relationships, move beyond siloed services, and use collaborative tools such as CharityTracker to fill gaps, provide wraparound support, and create lasting change.

Charity Reimagined Annual Training Conference

Traditionally held each fall, this all-day event is designed for helpers and helping agencies throughout our community. The conference celebrates those who serve while offering engaging speakers, educational resources, meaningful connections, and opportunities to recharge those who are usually the ones giving to others.
